I am starting to get grouchy from not being able to ride. I just got a new horse about 2 or 3 months ago and have not really been able to ride for the last month or so. I travel extensively for work so I mainly oy have weekends to ride, but the last few it has either rained or has been too muddy from the rain during the week. I was really hoping to get my mare going strOng before my good horse was able to be ridden after his surgery. I can start getting him legged up in 6 weeks and I can't wait! But I really need to get this made more solid. Hopefully it will start drying out. Ok my vent is over. Everyone stay warm

I bought my dream horse a year ago this past November.  I got to ride her once before the first snowstorm hit and we entered in one of the longest hardest winters South Dakota has had.  I couldn't ride her again until mid April.  Sometimes the weather just plain sucks.  :203:

Walked outside, wind hit my face.......walked back inside, no thanks mother nature. I think I'll sit on the couch and enjoy this pumpkin spice coffee rather than go back out there!!!!

After the drought we endured  I will never complain about rain and mud...
I do however understand trying to keep on riding in it isn't fun either

I am just getting ready to go out and thaw waterers again today.  The high here was -9.
I am a big wimp and probably won't ride again until close to April

(and OP, I really like your avatar )

I can't complain too bad about cold as its mild here in TX compared to the Dakotas. But I hate when I can't ride because it's too wet. My place just gets swampy when it has lots of rain.
