Location: Stuck in a cubicle having tropical thoughts | My parents have one. they love it. but their entire house is 1500sq ft. (and they have a wood burning fireplace). the lower level of our house is about 2500 sq ft. Plus we have an upstairs that right now is not blocked off but we plan on hanging something at the stairway to help block off the heat from escaping and the cold form coming down. We borrowed my parents. EdenPure We put it in the 'great room' (living room and dining room combined) which is about 800 sq ft. There are two doorways, no doors, just arched walk throughs. I do beleive it makes this room feel warmer. but I don't think the furnace is running any less because the thermostat is not in this room. We have a chance to buy a brand new EdenPure with a $200 off coupon, making it $300 plus tax and free shipping.
My mom has whined to me about how she misses the Eden Pure since i'm borrowing it and wants to know how soon it's being returned to her and she only brought it yesterday for us to try out. |

| I bought a Kenmore that is the same as the Eden Pure for $149---half price. Sears has a little nicer one than I got on sale now for $129.00. I just bought one of them. I do not even turn my heat on. I live in NE TX and it is 32 outside right now. |

Location: Stuck in a cubicle having tropical thoughts | We bought one of the quartz Infrared heaters from Menard's a couple weeks ago. Can't remember the brand. Paid around $130 for it. We ran it from 8AM until midnight the next day and noticed no difference. We didn't feel any warmer. and the furnace still ran as much. and it was rated to heat 1200 sq ft.
I beleive the Eden Pure's are the original for this type of heater. Even the sales person at Menards (who recommended the heater we bought) said 'these are like the original Amish made heaters at half the price". So after that bad experience, we are gun shy to spend money on another brand. and our $200 coupon is only good for a few days. |

Location: Kansas | We have an infrared heater like the EdenPurs but got it from walmart for way cheaper. Does 1500 sq ft. I think it works alright for our trailer. But what works the best is we just put in a ventless blue flame propane heater by Mr Heater. It is the 30,000 BTU's and says for 1000 sq ft. That sucker keeps our trailer almost hot on the lowest setting. I wish we had bought one 3 years ago. We do not even use the furnance as this uses way LESS propane than the central furnance. Much more economical. Very happy with it so far and would highly recommend one. |

| My folks went with one of the propane heaters as well, the ones that run off the little bottles. Dad got he attachments too to run it off a grill sized bottle. It works super well, and if they lose power to the house they have great heat source still. |
