Am I the only one that thought the finals were way better with Charmayne James helping in the announcers booth?

Maybe next year!

I think many were one or the other on the topic. I personally dont mind the guys who do it. I think they can be repetative but usually have something good to say.

I still want Joe B.  I think it was last night they had Joe comment on not only the timed events but also Sherry winning the first two go rounds.  He did awesome.

I really like Joe as well. Knowledgeable and talks easily. Plus, he's not a barrel racer, so less likely to be accused of being catty. Would really love them to have him and Fred there for the tie down every night like last night. Very interesting to hear their perspective on Tuf's brown horse not giving him the "send" Roanie does. I just love tidbits like that.

I agree! I like Joe B too and I do think it gets a little worrisome when you have fellow barrel racers commentating because someone may get offended and they are in the same event. Joe also has the personality and natural ability. It was tougher for CJ but she warmed up towards the end.

The toughest part for James was she only had 20 seconds or so to talk about the rider and horse before she had to move onto the next one, where the other events have more down time to actually explain whats going on and get your point across. But I still liked it better with her commentating.

Don't miss her.  Don't miss Ty either.

Gold buckles do not give you announcer cred.

I love Joe B ! He has been around a few barrel races and is very knowledgable ! Don't miss CM at all ! Not being catty but it's just not easy for everyone! Yes she has a lot of insight but not quick enuf on her toes for that job.

I agree...Joe B, however I'm not sure some people could handle it when he says something like, wow she was just off tonight, or she blew that angle or what ever.  I love his insight.  I like his style, he can explain a mistake with out sounding mean, yet is totally honest.  But really when people try to have discussions (here it seems) people get their pantys in a wad.

I do not like the commentary, I just think they need someone with more knowledge and more "color".  No one expects them to know everything about every event, but it seems to get a bit boring.  It's over so fast doesn't really matter, but I would LOVE to her Joe's take on things!

Couldnt agree more with Joe B. He has a way with words and a good combo of tone which brings honesty without the insult.

Charmayne was boring.  I agree Joe Beaver is fun to listen to no matter which event.
