Location: MN | Our son is dating a gal who has a little girl ( almost 2 yrs old) from a previous relationship and I'm looking at spending around $20-25 for this little sweetheart. I have no idea what to get. I hoping you ladies here can help me out with ideas. We had 2 sons and I think that boys are easier to buy for. Please help me!!! |

| If you are doing the horsey thing I would say the Breyer stable toys. I love them. Wish they had them when I was a kid. Cowgirl clothes or horsey linens. |

Location: MI | My girls have broken Breyers, their tails fall off and all of their buildings are crud, in our house anyway. I wouldn't say their hard on them, but they are used often. And Breyer does not want to hear about it. The Schleich horses tend to hold up pretty well, they are on amazon, and farmstores sometimes. ERTL farm toys hold up well. Otherwise, my girls loved. Melissa and Doug toys too. They have their wooden castle and dollhouse, they are nice and simple and fun. |

| many of my Breyers say "for children age 7 and up," so if looking for a 2 year old maybe not such a good idea. They have sharper points on their tails, ears, etc, too. The Schleich farm animals and horses are a great choice, do they still make My Little Pony? I used to love those when I was little and they are more durable than Breyers for the younger children. |

Location: Memphis, TN | My 18 month old daughter loves baby dolls but they have to look like real babies. Give her a doll with pink hair and she throws it to the side. She also likes balls, any toy that plays music and songs (she loves to dance), coloring (you have to get toddler specific art supplies though and it MUST be washable lol), if you can find one at a second hand place my daughter loves her cozy coupe car that she sits in and pushes with her feet they are pretty pricey new though, rocking horse, bracelets (solid no beads or breakable string), BOOKS (ones with good vibrant pictures as it's hard to get them to sit still for the actual story). This age is hard because they are moving from one thing to the next. My daughter rarely sits with any one thing for long. I'm sure she'll love whatever you get her! |

| I loaded up on like $50 bucks worth of $1-$5 dollar toys last year for my stepdaughter. I was so entertained that she played with that stuff a whole lot more than the expensive stuff she got from others. She had just turned two last Christmas.

They still do make the My Little Pony's, my girls love those too! They are pretty expensive now, imo, at the box stores. But might be able to find some on Craigslist or something if you are ok with that. I've seen them on sale from time to time too. |

Location: Kansas | Things that SING and have lots of flashing LIGHTS! Those things keep my munchkin entertained for hours, granted she is 15 months, she will sit in her room and play with those toys and talk to herself for hours LOL.
Also if she likes stuffed animals, get her a stuffed horse that neighs......or a princess dress (walmart sells them in the toy isle) or any princess toys for her. |

| Buy her some cute everyday clothes which is always appreciated by parents and enjoyed by the kids and won't break your budget on another toy she may ignore ... take some pictures of her all dressed up !! Pictures last forever!!
Kids today still like to play with kitchen pots and pans and hide in cardboard boxes .... just like we did as kids ... lol

Location: north dakota | Not sure they still make it but I bought my kids a leapster that went on the fridge. It had all the letters and numbers and if you pushed a button it would sing the abc's. I bought it around 8-10 years ago and it still works (although I lost most of the letters and numbers) my kids loved it and my youngest son was singing the entire abc's at 2.
ETA I googled it and Walmart has one for 21.97. It's called Leap frog letter factory phonics and numbers

We have one of these and my daugher loves it. she is 2. She also loves books, especially the ones that play music or animals with voices or the pop up books. She has a leap frog laptop that she loves too. |

Location: At the race track with Ah Dee Ohs | If your wanting a toy type gift, the My Little Ponies are great. We have 2-2 yr old grandbabies and they both got one of those Leap Frog type laptops. they play music, teach them their ABC's. What their letters look like! |
