I've noticed Jet Of Honor seems to be really jumping back out there in bloodlines lately, specifically with Movin and Bo at the NFR (Bo JOH on his dam side and Movin JOH on sire side)  What is everyone's thoughts on the JOH horses?  Comeback or never left?

I'm thinking they never truly left. The JOH daughters have been rather influential as broodmares for some time. I think for a while there, they were maybe just more geographically consolidated.

Jet Of Honor has always been a sought after bloodline. Considering he was a 1971 model, there aren't that many left.

They've always been there.  They are moving back in the pedigree though. The youngest ones are 17 coming 18 in 3 weeks.  Stallions usually have a longer reproductive life than mares.

That is what I've been noticing, that I just happen to notice him in the pedigrees more often here lately.

Bill Robinson stood Jet of Honor about 10 min drive from where I am, he now stands a FG/Holland Ease son that is pretty nice.

He still has some nice mares out of JOH. Wish there were some straws left too! lol!

Never left...I have a JOH son. I love him and have looked at breeding one of my mares to a JOH son.

What is the name of the stud he has now? I wonder if he has any colts by him out of JOH mares???

I didnt think he left, he's just an older bloodline getting harder to find. We have a JOH granddaughter and a weanling filly out of that mare.

Here is his website. It is not completely updated all the time, so best thing to do is call.. if he asks how you found him, tell him Denise. He likes to know where his advertising is working...

He never left. We have a daughter who is going to be 19 in. 2014 and she's too nice to get off to breed. Got her ROM at 18 and qualified for AQHYA world for 2013

Β They never left, there's just not many close up anymore. My boy is a great grandson on top.
