| I rode in treeless saddles for years i learned that thinner is better, i used a thick navjo blanket, not a pad and i also used those cj pro choice pads with fleese also. The thicker the pad the more the slip. Used different clinches with different horses. |

Location: Paradise , tx | I use 2 blankets (not to thick) and generaly seems that you need a shorter girth than on a treed saddle |

| I've ridden treeless for years and don't think there is a rule, per say, but rather personal preference for each individual horse you are riding. I ride a neoprene girth on two of my horses and merino wool on one. I use a regular 100% wool pad on two horses and a very thin pad on the other one. You just have to play around with it until you find just the right thing for you and your horse. |

Location: The barn...where else? SW Missouri | I always have used 2 Navajo pads, one is a one thickness and the other is doubled. I use a 100 % mohair girth. Never have had any slippage or issues.

Location: Where ever there's sunshine! | thank yall. I'm not a treeless person, but thats all that I can get my hands on that fits my 3 year old right now. I was told not to use anything with a seam down the spine. I would like a 5 star, but for now I have a cutter collection and it seems to be working well. I may have to change my girth though, I'm constantly having to adjust my saddle. |

| I love my Saddleright with my treeless. I use a mohair cinch on one of my mares and a wool cinch on the other. The mohair slides and doesn't fit as well on my bigger mare which is why I use the wool cinch on her. |

Just wondering why nothing with a seam ?? I am using a Best Ever with mine and it seems to work well. I also have a cutter pad with merino wool but it slips with that one. |

| If you like your Cutter on him then stay with that, like I said, it really comes down to personal preference anyway. I have a Saddleright but I don't care for anything with a seam down the middle either....tried to use it several of my horses with my sports saddle and just don't like it all. I should actually probably sell the Saddleright. |

I am wondering the same thing with the seam down the back ! I have rode in BM for over 20 years and I always rode them with a Todd Slone untill the past few years and now I love my Best Ever pads with then ! Never have had a sore back on a horse, so very curious about the explanation you got on why not to use one ! |

Location: Peach State | I figured something with a seam (contoured) would be better. I love classic esp wool top but quit riding in them when in got a treeless because it wouldn't sit down properly, my todd slone wool pad (with a seam) fits very well as far as I have experienced. |
