I live in Allen, Tx. I'm new to the area and I was wondering if anyone knew where to board that barrel races. Willing to drive a little if it's a good place but no more than an hour. Thanks in advance :)

All of your big horse places are located from Whitesboro, Pilot Point to Aubrey Texas on Hwy 377 about 30 miles due west of Hwy 69/75 that runs thru Allen Tx.

When SLICK BY DESIGN and his owner Michele MCleod gets back home from the NFR ... I am sure she would be glad to help you out .

Sally Box would be happy to get you in the know too ...

Barrel racing also in the Gainesville Tx area ... and Tyler, Athens and Marshall Tx and all over Oklahoma ...

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU FIND SOME BARRELS ... go to some races as a spectator and just ask around and drive the area to learn your way around ...

I don't know if this place is still there or not .. it was a cutting horse barn ... Parker Road has grown so much with malls etc etc ... but it was about a mile East on Parker Rd on your left ... it was owned by a guy named Stewart ... I knew his brother Bill ... it would be close to board and leg one up in a small cutting arena .. if it is still there ...

From Dallas to Denison Tx is all black gumbo mud which will suck your boots and your horses shoes off ...lol ... this is the reason the horse places are over on 377 where the sandy land is ... lol ...

Check out Double B Equestrian Center in Wylie.  The owner's name is Rick Brewer.

Don't know if he is having any regular barrel races but he does have an indoor arena and nice stalls.
