cowdoc101 - 2013-12-11 7:31 PM I know it's been mentioned before--but the astounding thing to me is just how CALM that horse is in the alley!! It's like she just flips a switch and he's on! Can't wait to watch the next rounds play out!! Keep it up Taylor!
I've noticed that too.... He looks like some old dead-head farm plug until he gets his cue to turn it on...

Did you see her interview where she said he is moody, sometimes wanting to be petted on and other times acts like a wild man.  Taylor said before one of the rounds she won it took both her and her mom to get him saddled he was such a handful.   She went on to say her it never ceases to amaze her how he can go from wild to all business as soon as he hits the alleyway, she can feel him starting to focus and get ready to run.

boldbonanzarocks - 2013-12-12 10:13 AM  I wonder why they switched him to the left ???? He was pretty awsome to the right
I was wondering the same thing.  How long has he been a lefty?
I wondered the same thing:) Also, did King of Jackies always run left? For some reason I think he has been a right handed horse until recently?

No, end of October or September I think is when she switched. Not sure what's going on but she's been having issues with him since around that time. I sure do hope she is ok and they get everything figured out, he is an awesome horse and Jackie is a hell of a jockey!

Horses don't have to be crazy in the alley, just the same as rope horses don't have to be nasty in the box. It's all about what you're willing to put up with. Most people "telegraph" their anxiety to the horse and it becomes a ritual.
