But they all need someone there in case they win the round and need an individual to cool down their horse. Unless one of those men acting as speed bumps takes over that job. The only one I know personally is Jane's husband Ryan back there. I think they said she was dating a Bronc rider, Coletti maybe?
Could you imagine getting on 10 bareback horses and having to handle a fired up barrel horse down the alley 10 days in a row? No thank you! I don't know which would be more physical! LOL

I think a lot of the ropers have helpers too. Im sure they do, just haven't seen any. Lol
You don't see the guys standing next to some of the calf horses in the box? Or a couple of the heelers keeping the horse out of the corner of the box? One was literally pushing a heel horse so he would get back in the corner. |

 Yes, and some of those guys help numerous people. It's not that serious. I was talking groom type, like the guy helping cody Ohl after he ropes, his guy is loosening the cinch. I'm sure everyone has helpers, otherwise they couldn't get their mandatory appearances done etc.
on another note, I noticed Trevor bB. Jumped down and out of camera range quickly. Good for him, I didn't like seeing his reaction caught on tape after shadas run. I grimace at home when they don't have a great run and you sure don't want that in your spouses head. |

Location: LA Lower Alabama | I think it was the first round where they showed Sherry hop off stingray and jump the panels to ride back into the arena for her lap. I can't imagine having to toss her reins to someone. I'm the type to congratulate my horse so (patting the neck and scrubbing the good spots etc) having to slam on breaks and run away from her would probably upset her . Insert smiley |

I agree about showing Trevor's reaction. I am sure he is just as emotional as Shada is because he wants her to do so well. It must also be difficult being the zillion time champ's wife....extra pressure I would think. |

I wish WPRA would do more interesting stories of things like this on their website. Pro Rodeo.com seems to do a better job with lengthier articles. |
