Bump! Surely someone has experience with them? He is an older model stud.

I know the lady who owns him and I have seen him.  Nice horse, NICE lady!  if you'd like info, Erin would LOVE to visit with you!  You should call her!  She is a character and is very happy, so is fun to visit with!  http://canyonsedgeranch.com/stallions/lead-the-field/

I don't know her personally but I did talk with her last year about breeding to him. I had talked to her in Jan or Feb and was surprised that she had remembered me when May rolled around. Unfortunately, things happened and I was unable to breed but she was very understanding. I would work with her again in a heart beat!

I love Erin! She's a total sweet heart! I'm sure she'd tell you about LTF babies - she's very honesty about her horses! I bought a weanling colt from her sight unseen. She could not have been more truthful about his personality!

I love Erin and her stallions. She is great to deal with and like the above poster, she is VERY honest about her horses and I am very comfortable with breeding to her stallions and buying from her.

Here's the link to some of his offspring. They're super cute!
I haven't been around one of his offsprings. . . but I will say my Streakin' For Perks colt is amazing!! I want about 10 more!
He seems to be a quick learner, calm and laid back but still has some grit to him, seems to work from the hind end in the field (which, I personally like), and so open to everything. He's turning yearling this coming year but he's been great with everything I'm presented him with so far!

Thank you all very much for the kind words, I can't tell you how grateful I am. I have been so blessed by my friends and clients in this amazing business for which we seem to share an overwhelming amount of passion!!

Lead The Field is a wonderful stallion, I am blessed to own him and I am so incredibly excited about his offspring, particularly the fact that they are hitting the arena with speed, talent and style. Ryann made some nice runs on Nastee at the BFA which was exciting to see, he really drags his hind end and shows a lot of power leaving the barrels.

I have a lot of offspring pictures and lots of pictures of Lead The Field. Those can be seen in the facebook album at Canyons Edge Ranch, and thank you Brittany for linking that you are too kind, or I would be happy to email them to anyone interested.

I am really excited about his offspring making their way into the arena; most of Lead The Fields offspring have been raced on the track, but Nastee Leader has shown a great deal of talent roping and in barrels, and the Lead The Field offspring we have in training are showing a lot of speed and brains and athletic ability. We have a few LTF offspring that we kept like 2 coming 2 year old buckskin fillies out of dashing val daughters, and a bay filly out of a martha six moons daughter. Also 2 coming 2 year old bay geldings, one out of a AAA daughter of special elan, and one out of a daughter of la jollas gold. They all have 30 days on them and are so willing, kind and smart. We also have a weanling buckskin colt out of a la jollas gold daughter and a fancy bay filly out of a stakes producing strawfly special mare that here at the ranch.

He has a really nice foal crop on the way for 2014. We are expecting foals out of these really nice mares:
Lady Katherine Mary (gorgeous dapple gray mare), AAAT SI 101 by Mr Eye Opener out of a daughter of Holland Ease
Violet Hills (elegant steel gray mare) AAA SI 96, stakes placed by ocean runaway out of a Hooked on Cash Daughter
Suchafastchic AAAT SI 101 SI 101, Stakes placed by Shazoom out of Miss Hatch (x Duck Dance)
The Okey AAAT SI 109, by Champion Okey Dokey Dale and out of Raise The Crowd (x multiple graded stakes winner A Classic Dash, LTE $1,078,617)
Vals Trick AAAT SI 102 by Dashing Val out of a daughter of Tricky Six
Lady Hollander si 85 Dam of 6 ROM race, 4 race winners, and a graded stakes finalist, she is by Holland Ease and her Dam is a full sister to the dam of Mr Jess Perry
Kari Dancer AA, AAA producer by Dash Ta Fame and out of Graded Stakes Winner, Rare Cupid SI 96 LTE $40,520. Second dam is by Bugs Alive In 75.
Dashing Dollar unraced, by Dashing Val out of Wild Dollar SI 101 LTE $ 41,107 (x Three Oh's Wild)

I would be more than happy to talk about Lead The Field or any of our other fine stallions, Streakin For Perks, Sweet First Down and Valiant Leader. Feel free to check us out on facebook at Canyons Edge Ranch or email me at [email protected]

My sincerest thanks to my friends in the industry, and all of my clients, you make this a passion worth pursuing!
