I'm sewing hair on hide to leather.

How do you finish of edges to look good on that, not butchered?

I make the leather back liner wider ( say a 1.5" hair on strip to a 2.0" leather backing) skive it thinner at the bends and roll it over the edges of the hair on strip, glue and then sew it down.
