It's cold out there. Someone please remind me why I live here (Canada). It's minus -30 with a -53 windchill Celsius. That equates to a minus 63 windchill Fahrenheit. brrrrr.

I think I need to start looking at property in Arizona.

Yuck!  I spent many -70 below nights feeding horses in WY.  I did move after many years straight to southeast, AZ.  In southwest TX now and 65 is where my complaining about the cold starts.

Hang on everyone in the tundra.  Its gonna be a bumpy ride for a few days.  I've been watching my horses this morning.  As the wind gets stronger they went from eating around the bale to bearing down to the cold.  I'll go out aroud 11 or 12 and get all 9 head in the barn.  They'll probably stay there until it ends Tuesday.
Last night I went out to do 30 minutes of chores and found the float on one of the water tanks broke.  4" of ice everywhere.  Made a flying trip to town and beat the farm supply store closing by minutes.  Got it fixed last night but dang, you can't fix those things with gloves on so the bare hands go in the water.  Dear Lord why can't those things go out in July? eta its -12 right now.  Winds will pick up to 25 mph around noon.  burr

With the conversion to F we'll be about the same then next weekend. Our wind has really picked up and gusting to 30+ mph right now and -10 F. We hit our high an hour or so ago of -8. Yuck. The sun is super bright so my horses are still outside. I'll go out shortly and get them in for the night.

I certainly can't top you guys but it is 36 with a wind chill of 25 here right now and that is certainly cold enough for me. 19 in the morning and will be pretty cold feeding in my jammies at 5:30 here in NE TX.

My buddy saaranch lives at Granbury, TX.  I keep her weather forcast on my desktop so I can live vicariously through her weather report.  It looks down right balmy.  I told her not to be surprised if a truck and trailer with SD plates pulls in her yard. LOL
