| I do love me some Dr Pol. I am always interested to see what he's fixing and getting into. It's also refreshing to see that not all the animals make it and that some can't be saved. |

I have cried on this show too!! The one where they put both horses down at the same time . . .brutal. And then I had to explain to my 3 year old what they were doing and why. While I was crying. Actually, I'm not sure why I even watch it. . . |

Yes, I cried when they put down the two Sr horses who were buddies.. I was really amazed by how much they show. Yes some they blur out, but the cow that had the prolapse. My 7 yr old son was like what is that??? I think it a great show, can't wait to watch more.. |

Location: In the Hills of Texas | We watch it but IMO..he is a true cow vet and is way too rough on small animals. I can't believe he doesn't administer gas while doing surgeries.
It is entertainment...LOL |

NTO, if that suprised you... you may not have wanted to work or use the vet that I worked for. We didn't gas anything for surgery. If it couldn't be sedated IM it didn't get done. He was predominately large animal but we had a fairly decent small animal practice as well. I never saw anything get handled too roughly other than crappy owners. LOL |

The vet I worked for almost 40 years ago, used gas for every surgery. Never used a vet that didn't use gas. |

| I have been a vet tech for 13 years, and to see him perform surgeries on small animals, makes my stomach turn. First, they should NOT be on a cold table!! At very least, should have a thick towel underneath. Second, to not use gas OR have them intubated...oy. No IV cath...oy. With an IV, you can give medications and FLUIDS to help to pet while under. I understand he is old school, but we have come so far in vet medicine, there is no excuse for some of these things. BUT to say something positive, I do like the premise of the show. |

I will delete this comment if only positive comments are welcomed.....like on the rodeo girls thread. |

| I like the show to, and also heard he was in some hot water a few times and close to losing his license? I know vets are licensed to treat ALL ANIMALS regardless, but my horse vets are the first to admit they will not touch a dog or cat, not even their own! LOl He has to be an expert in so many species that he is just average at all of them, but its great watching. |
