| Psalm 8:1-6 O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, who have set your glory above the heavens! Out of the mouths of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, that you may silence the enemy and the avenger. When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained., What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For you have made him a little lower than the angels and you have crowned him with glory and honor.
You have made him to have dominion over work of Your hands; you have put all things under his feet,
How tragic it is when we do not recognize the glory of God.
The Psalmist declared, "How excellent is Your name in all the earth.....Your glory above the heavens!? Caution@ It's easy to lose the wonder and amazement of how big God is and how very small we are. Consider the question in this psalm " What is man that You are mindful of him?" How does the infinite God of the universe take interest in finite humanity? When we lose our wonder of God, we no longer ponder thoughts like this.
Matthew 21:15-16 But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple area, :Hosanna to the Son of David, they were indignant. Do you hear what these children are saying? they asked him. "Yes" replied Jesus, have you never read , :From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise?"
We should never lose the wonder of the name and fame of God and His glory, the wonder of Him being mindful of us and desiring a relationship with us. Let this cause you to wonder; God is so big that the earth is unable to contain His glory and greatness, yet He is small enough to take residence in our hearts. THIS IS AMAZING! God , how excellent is Your name in all the earth!
For it is WITH God ALL things are possible.
