Not sure how he did it,  but it looks like he snagged his nail on his left rear paw yesterday afternoon.  He's pretty sore of course but, we cleaned it up and have been putting Vetericyn on it.  Doesn't appear to be broken as the nail is still straight and was just a little bloody around the nail base.  Any one have any luck getting these to heal up quick?

We've just made sure the area was clean every evening and left it alone. They heal pretty quickly if they are kept clean.

One of our Border Collies does this quite a bit, doesn't matter if you keep her nails trimmed up short as she is just prone to ripping them.

Keep it clean, watch that they don't lick it into a larger sore than what it already happens to be, and they'll heal up just fine. If the licking creates an issue, like another sore, wrap it in vet wrap lightly for a couple days; the wrap will allow it to grow a scab and start healing real nice! Good luck and rub your doggies ears for us!
