Stained concrete floor

Is anyone - or their husband - in the concrete business? We just had our concrete floors stained in our house and it did NOT turn out like we thought. I just left them a message and while I wait for a call back I wanted to pick another professionals brain.
What was supposed to be a brown floor turned more of a rust color and instead of a smooth blend it's quite streaky. Unfortunately it has one coat of sealer on it. Is there anything we can do to the floor to "fix" the way it looks?

I would be curious to know. I did not know you could "stain" concrete after it was poured/dried. We had a driveway done in Miami years ago, but they put the stain in to the wet concrete mix.
I have considered pulling up my old carpets and just having concrete here but I figured it would have to be painted or somethihng and polished. I think I would like it though. Especially in the Summer.

Yes you can acid stain plain concrete. You can also add powder into the wet concrete mix to make the whole slab of concrete colored. The acid stain penatrates the plain concrete about 1/16-1/8" inch.
