| southwestern, and thats anywhere from russell to onanole down to brandon and deloraine and west to peirson and up to virden.
virden has recently boomed with oil but the land priced are crazy. the land prices are crazy all around tho. lots of greedy farmers!
there are alot of ag jobs all around. we live in the middle of all that by rivers and we are still looking to buy. my boyfriend is a welder and I work in sales at a elevator and im working on finishing my apprenticeship as a hair stylist.
the land is all fairly good throughout SW souris and southern areas tend to see more flooding in the spring, same with brandon area.
we have enough jackpots in this area tho, not as many east. one of our board users has an amazing indoor arena near onanole!
ps you know manitoba is very cold right? brrr

Location: North of the 49th Parallel | I'm not from MB but I'd probably go around Brandon. I have lots of family in Steinbach and I like it there but I have no idea how much horse stuff is there. And it's only an hour from Winnipeg. |

Location: Wasagaming, Manitoba, Canada | Brandon is actually 2 hrs from Winnipeg. Zansbeunogal gave a good description of the area. Where are you coming from?

| I'm originally from Alberta but have been in southern Ontario for about 14 years. I was 18 when I left Alberta. I remember coming out here and freezing my behind off the first winter because of the damp cold. I don't remember being that cold out in Alberta! I'm not familiar with MB at all and it worries me with buying property accidentally in a bad spot.
Land in southern Ontario has also become ridiculous.
I'd love to move back to AB but the land prices out there are staggering!

Are the areas you named all flat land?
So south of Winnipeg is crap land then? We found a bunch of farms in that area and steinbach? Spelling is wrong I believe sorry.
We were thinking of coming out within the next two weeks to see what it's like but maybe we should wait until the next big storm rolling in has left. Lol

Location: Canada | I'm from steinbach area, and its not that bad, it doesn't flood here unless u buy a property with a bog or a swamp.
My advice to you, would be come in spring during or right after the snow melts, that's when we have the most water and you can see what kind of drainage the place ur looking at has |
