My good mare has an old suspensory tear from a few years ago. I have her on f1 Noni and it's helped with her mobility, over all health and healing the injury. I sent her to the auqatred and a week into the swimming (she's been before) we noticed her suspensory was slightly inflamed and she's a little sore. So were sweating it and it's improved. My question is to those who run horses with old tears, what do you use? What are you secrets to keeping them safe and sound? And helping keep that suspensory feeling good?

My farrier just paid a visit. And she graduated from pads to keystone, and now she's just wearing wide rim plr shoes on the front.

I am curious to know this too as I am trying to rehab one back from a suspensory branch tear and a sesamoid ligament tear from late 2011. reinjured it last summer just being turned out.

Did a clinical trial with a product that has stimulated the healing process so he is still stall confined and hand walking only. but hopefully plan on running this summer.

Back on Track wraps or PHT wraps will help them feel better and promote healing. I've been using both on my gelding that has a tendon injury and am absolutely thrilled with the results! They are both awesome products. I know for a fact that the PHT wraps are effective at alleviating pain because I used one on myself when a horse smashed my foot :)

I can't speak for specific injuries, I just know they are great for relieving pain and promoting healing :) My understanding is they are fine for any leg injury, but I am not an expert

My vet loves the back on track wraps. She uses them on all her jumpers. I keep the quick wraps on my gelding everyday.

Mine has scar tissue from an old injury and was told to ice then sweat after a run.  I ice after I ride almost every day and alternate days of mud (I bought Ice Tight, I've heard Sore No More is great also)/ liniment after. I also use my Ice Vibe boots on vibrate before I get on....not sure if it does a whole lot of good...but he really seems to like it.

I was really impressed with how my BOT boots helped my gelding after his tear. He tore his in September (Vet said he did a really good job tearing it) and by January they couldnt find the tear anymore.

BOT promotes circulation, so I'm not really sure why that would be a bad thing :) Only thing I can think of would be maybe the heat that they produce, but if you introduce them properly you shouldnt have an issue. Just my thoughts :)

Call Platinum Performance. I use platinum CJ and add Longevity and osteon. They really seem to help with bones and tendon ligament issues. And they have the best customer service.

I've used cj for a past suspensory tear for another horse. We caught it when he tore it and was able to rehab it. It worked well and we have no issues with him. But my mare we never knew she was torn :( thankfully it was during the time. :(.
I'll call cj maybe that and my current supplement will help support her!

Runners Relief. Mix it with nitrofurazone and sweat the leg with it.

I kept PHT magnets on my horses tear and it would keep any swelling down. It completely healed but would retain fluid without the magnet.
