I was wondering that too- or perhaps a slightly out of whack TMJ that a simple chiro adjustment could fix.  Not sure which one the OP is referring to?

Sometimes you have to run them in a hack because having a bit in their mouth can make it worse. Also, I have used the Thermotex TMJ hood on them and it seems to help a lot.

Not really sure which. He eats slowly and  his mouth is slightly open but doesn't lose food. Had my equine dentist look at him and he said there is a knot on one side. Also lately when I take his bridle off of him, he usually tries to yawn and it doesn't open very far, his jaw pops and eyes roll back in his head several time. I do ride him in a s hack because he foes like hacks more so than bits. Doesn't seem to affect his performance but when I try to message it, he doesn't let me get close to certain areas

My guy had/has TMJ from his teeth being out of whack. getting his teeth balanced by a qualified dentist helped a ton and he loves his PHT mask.
