Location: NC | I LOVE RES boots! The bell boots are by far the BEST I've used. We have a pair of the sport boots on the way right now. We've been using their metal d ring splint boots for over a year now. They hold up very well.
I have ordered several custom straps too. I absolutely LOVE RES. Great service from the main folks too, for customers and dealers, is what I've heard. They happily donated some $10 off coupons for my benefit show. Glad to be an RES user. LOVE them. |

Location: Arkansas | My bell boots tore up within the first ten rides. The plastic piece that the velcro goes through broke off. :( I haven't had any problems with my splint boots. |

| I love their sport boots. They fit much like elites, and last forever. I use their polos now usually, and they too last a long time. I use the splint boots for everyday and slow work, and have used the same pair for well over a year, 20-40 rides a week, and they are still in great shape. |

Location: God's country...aka TEXAS | I hated the splint boots and ended up selling mine after using them one time. They say they are one size fits all....which is obviously not going to work on every horse. Also, when I put them on they seemed to not go on smoothly and had wrinkles in the material which I'm sure is not comfortable for the horses. I immediately went back to using my classic equine legacy boots. |

I had about the same problem, where the plastic was sewn to the boot tore. The bell boots also turned and I couldn't keep them straight. I haven't tried the other products after those issues. But lots of people do like them, they just didn't work for me. |

Location: Phoenix | My bellboots had wear marks after the first ride! The simple splint boots didn't seem that great either. Got them as awards...wouldn't buy them otherwise. |

| Been a dealer for several years and some changes have been made since inception. Instead of plastic, they've gone to metel on the bells. If the bells have turned then they weren't the right size. Some changes have been made over the year for the leg wrap products. The same on a small boned mare and a large boned gelding. Your dealer should have offered a replacement on anything that had become torn during use. Of course, wearing out the bell itself from overreach is just normal wear and tear.... But any loop that's broken, should have been taken care of by your dealer. The material has changed on the wraps and also on the bells. I've used the same bells and wraps for well over a year. I did change out my straps just to show a new design but they aren't me for those that do now me. Changed out my white wraps for black since I moved to red dirt country. Bret and crew are very easy to work with.
I've used every boot made and this one finally holds true to the saying: they don't get dirt in them. Have yet to get dirt in mine. Ran into a lady that bought some from us at BBR and she said she hasn't gotten dirt in hers either. The ground are several indoors here is silty. We talked for a bit about the product and advances etc. Good to know she had the same results.
For the others, I'm sorry. Bret is Very easy to work with. He's also on FB under Bret Mills.
edited for spelling - been a while since I used a laptop :)

I will say that I was turned off at first on the bells. I bought mediums thinking they would fit. They kept turning on me.
Well after a few months, I decided to try a small pair. And they fit perfectly! Better than any Pro Choice or CE I've ever used. First ride I've taken with a pair of bells that they actually did NOT turn. You just have to find the right fit.
The straps are my favorite feature. That & I'm addicted to the custom straps. So many possibilities. And you can custom dye the white boots however you want. The dealer I use has even dyed some a very nice zebra pattern. It looks awesome. |

The Resident Destroyer of Liberal Logic
Location: PNW | I hated the ones I bought.
One size does NOT fit all. They didn't fit my 15 hand horse OR my 16.3 hand horse - so I'm not sure what. They WILL fit.
They didn't feel anywhere close to as sturdy or supportive as my Legacies or as Elites.
I rode in them for ten minutes before a velcro strap came off....
I sold them straight away. I'll stick with my Legacies. |

Location: Wyoming | I am an RES dealer as well. Love the bell boots, the splint boots and the new open front boot. Do not really care for the sport boot. These bell boots last longer than any bell boot I have ever used. The splint boots I have are 3 years old and still look good even with heavy use. Remember , bell boots and leg protection are in an area that sees heavy use. None of them last forever. One of my customers had the buckle on the bell boots fail. I contacted RES and got them a new pair sent to them ASAP. I really like the new HD bell boot. |
