Location: My happy place | I would never get copper, I have a lot of copper stuff. It is horrible to keep looking good, I have been known to clean and spray with polyurathane, not worth much as antiques anyway, I have a granite countertop and a composite granite black Blanco sink. I love both, I don't exactly know what fire clay is. I can't decide if I love or hate my dark countertops, very hard to see how dirty it is. I love the black sink (which I never thought I would husband picked both) the countertop is beautiful and so far granite is my favorite. I had butcher block before, not a fan. Have fun, I love remodeling & building, helps that husband is very handy. ETA: I would love the sink with removable center. I didn't get a farm house sink and don't regret it at all, because mine is really deep. I would think with a FHS you would need so much water to wash anything. Just wondering if everyone is happy with their decision to get one. My DIL is very happy with hers.

| Copper is beautiful, until it's not! I have copper sinks in my LQ and they are so incredibly difficult to keep clean or keep from turning green. I would love a copper kitchen sink but it's not realistic for me.
We are in the process of building and if you are on Facebook, the group "Modern Farmhouse Design & Decor Ideas" is awesome for tips/advice/opinions. |

Would love to see pic's of remodeled kitchens...Palo show us your black sink if you don't mind?
Gail I would be glad to show you pictures, however that resizing thing would require way to much work right now. Maybe next week. I'm leaving in the morning to go camping and trail riding in the mountains of E TN. May need a little luck I have a new horse and he's a little spooky at times. I shouldn't even be on here have way to much I should be doing. |

Location: SW MO | When we built our new house in 2018. I had wanted a farm sick but then got a really good deal on a black sink. I ended up being very glad I hadn't gotten a farm sink, because we were in Ft Scott KS and found a antique counter, it was a counter out of the historic Ft Scott Boot store that was down by the railroad tracks many many years ago. We used it for our kitchen cabnet where the sink goes. If I had got a farmsink we would have had to of cut down in the front of the counter & I wouldn't have wanted to of done that. The black sink worked perfect. The only problem with the black sink is we have hard water so it spots really bad. I just always wipe it out with a towel when I'm done with it. |
