Extreme Veteran Posts: 399	OK so i know what a futurity is and I know what a derby is but what the heck is a Maturity? Is it for studs only? there is a barrel race that has a breeders maturity.

A Breeders Maturity is for a horse that has been in the Futurity or Derby of that particular association and can then always be in the Maturity. Any age - any gender. I probably explained that horribly. I ran my 6 yr old mare at some Derby's last year so she is now eligable for their maturity for the rest of the time I run her.
