Location: Texas | With my first, I gained 40 pounds. Most of it was probably water, but I didn't eat great. It dropped off in no time due to breast feeding and I ate everything in sight. I've only gained 25 pounds this time, but have eaten better and haven't retained the water I did this first time. Breast feeding is the greatest weight loss program ever. It burns about 500 calories/day. Don't stress. If you want the weight to come off, it will. |

| I gained weight all over. But I started going to the gym a month after having my son, riding whenever I can. He's 2 months old and I've lost weight/toned up some already, down a jeans size. There's hope. |

| I gained 50 pounds with mine...BUT i also had a 10 pounder..he is 6 months old now and i am with 20 pounds of my pre-pregnancy weight..I think i would be closer to normal if winter wasnt here and i wasnt stuck in the house so much.......I DO think it is harder when you are older to get it off though! |

Location: Beggs, OK | I am currently 23 weeks with twins and have gained 25lbs. My experience with pregnancy weight gain is that I gain the most weight in the first trimester like my body is catching up to where it "wants to be". I'll gain 10lbs. quickly and it scares me every time...but, then I gain very gradually.
I've been on bedrest for the past 4 weeks and will be on bedrest until the babies are born due to a complete placenta previa. I'll admit I was concerned about gaining a lot of weight not being able to do anything at all, but I've only gained 2lbs in the past 4 weeks. Growing twins burns a LOT of calories, lol. I can't imagine what it will be like nursing them.... I haven't worked a horse since I got pregnant and that was my main source of physical activity. |

I love this forum. Haha. I'm so encouraged!
I am right there with you- I gained really quickly in the first trimester (10-15), not eating too great, probably- then it all slowed down. My appetite eased and my weight gain slowed. Sigh. I'm so glad I'm not alone!! |
