I purchased a camera from a seller on ebay about 3 days ago, seller accidently dropped the camera going into the post office, and immediately refunded me all of my money.

Last night I got back on eBay and purchased another one from a different seller and got a notice that my transaction was being "processed". Shortly after I got a reciept from paypal, and it says "Completed" on my end, but seller still hasn't received the money, she said paypal does this on occasion and will hold the money 1-2 days while they do an investigation. The only reason I can figure they would be doing an investigation is because I had so much $$ go in, then out, then come back, then I tried to buy something else more expensive than what I would normally purchase. I emailed paypal but they haven't given me much of a response. My husband is calling the bank to see if the money has left the account.

Should I request the seller cancel the transaction and try again if the money hasnt left? Or would that restart all of this "processing" stuff?

I have never had this happen before and there are more than enough funds in the account.

ETA- I have perfect feedback, and the seller has 98% feedback

I would hold tight - if anything, you can call Paypal and check on it but I wouldn't stop anything

I wouldn't cancel anything, just wait and see. As long as you and the seller have communicated about it, I wouldn't be too worried about it. Doing things electronically can get kind of screwy sometimes.

Thanks guys, I will just hold on... I was just confused because I have never got that message before, and I have done over 70 transactions on eBay.

I agree with the above posts, as long as you have communicated with the seller, give it a day or two "processing" time!!!

Sounds to me like they are waiting for it to transfer to their bank account instead of their PayPal account. If it says completed on your end, the payment was successfully sent to the seller. 2-3 days only comes into play when transferring to their bank account.

I've been selling a lot on eBay lately and they do hold funds until I ship the item, sometimes longer.

Honestly I would just call paypal. While I had probably a 10min hold time, they were REALLY helpful when I called about a money transfering issue i was having
