How do you like them? How do you clean them? What about winter? Thanks. I am just getting tired of patching my metal tank.

All of our big water tanks (we have anywhere from 6' to 10' tanks) are "tire tanks".  That's what we use on our ranch for pasture watering as well.
Ours are all permanently installed with concrete bottoms but you can buy ones with metal bottoms as well.
We just clean them out with a large transfer pump.  Vacuums the water and gunk right off the bottom in minutes.

Almost every tank on our place is a tire water tank. They work really well.

Do you break the ice off in the winter? Or do you have a tank heater?

2 of ours have tank heaters in them.
The rest are energy free since we have so many head of livestock drinking out of them so we don't have to worry about heat in them.  Sometimes if it's really, really cold we have to break some ice but usually it's not a big deal.
