Veteran Posts: 294	I fed the 30. My horse seemed lethargic on it. I don't know why. Maybe soy? My gelding has done much better on equipride with a handful of triple crown senior for flavor.

Expert Posts: 2604 Location: Texas	I have been feeding Triple Crown 30% for about five years. I love it. My horses get free choice pasture and/or hay year round. That means all they can eat whenever they want it. I believe that is how God designed them to be fed. So with that said... my horses don't need much "grain" to maintain weight to compete. They mainly need a vitamin/mineral. I only feed 3/4 lb twice per day of the TC30% and then add in a small amount (1/2 lb or less) whole oats if I feel they need a little more. Mine all do great on this. I am currently feeding a 2 yr old, 8 yr old, and 12 yr old. TC30% is all the 2 yr old has gotten since he started eating with his momma and he looks fantastic. I compete every weekend on the 8 & 12 yr old and they do great on it. I like that they are getting all the vitamins, minerals, amino acids, etc in that 1.5 lbs/day. I have compared the TC30% analysis to others, and I have not found a feed or supplement that compares with it.
