Does anyone feed Triple Criwn's or Blue Seal's ration balancer? I am thinking of switching to a ration balancer and the brand near me are blue seal, TC, nutrena or purina.

We have fed the TC 30%. One mare is only on 2lb of 30% per day with free choice hay.

I fed the 30. My horse seemed lethargic on it. I don't know why. Maybe soy? My gelding has done much better on equipride with a handful of triple crown senior for flavor.

I have been feeding Triple Crown 30% for about five years.  I love it.

My horses get free choice pasture and/or hay year round.  That means all they can eat whenever they want it.  I believe that is how God designed them to be fed.  So with that said...  my horses don't need much "grain" to maintain weight to compete.  They mainly need a vitamin/mineral.  I only feed 3/4 lb twice per day of the TC30% and then add in a small amount (1/2 lb or less) whole oats if I feel they need a little more.  Mine all do great on this.  I am currently feeding a 2 yr old, 8 yr old, and 12 yr old.  TC30% is all the 2 yr old has gotten since he started eating with his momma and he looks fantastic.  I compete every weekend on the 8 & 12 yr old and they do great on it.  I like that they are getting all the vitamins, minerals, amino acids, etc in that 1.5 lbs/day.  I have compared the TC30% analysis to others, and I have not found a feed or supplement that compares with it.

This is what I feed also, 1lb per day with free choice hay. I do add in a cup or two of feed. They seem to need just that little bit extra to look good.
