I put my old barrel horse in the fenced in back yard about 6 weeks ago because she lost some weight during the winter. I've been pouring the Purina Equine Senior to her with some rice bran and canola oil added along with Bermuda hay. I was out picking the yard yesterday and she was going wild bucking , kicking higher than her head and running around. She's feeling good and it just made me so happy...no one but my horse friends would understand how something that small can put a smile and contentment in your heart. I'm so blessed that's she's 27 and still healthy and happy. She ran some last year and may this year if she wants to. I thank God for that sweet gorl!!

Β Those are the moments I love! Seeing my horse feel good and just be a horse! I lost my dad six years ago yesterday and my kiddo just kinda knew. He let me love all over him in the pasture, and then started wiggling his lips and grooming me. Then he took off like a crazy horse. Makes your heart smile, doesn't it? :-
