CREPES! fun and delicious, easy to make. Can put anything in them. I'm stuffing them with chicken, mozzerella cheese and asparagus. LOVE!

brlraceaddict - 2014-02-27 4:09 PM Not a clue for tonight but last night I made burger patties, put sliced cheese inside the burger, seasoned and grilled. Toasted the buns with butter in a black skillet and spread on sour cream. Topped the burgers with fresh pico de gallo, a bit of salsa, and some olives. One of the best burgers I ever made.

That sounds super good, I'm going to have to try them!

Fried pork chops. I was dying for spaetzle, but don't have any swiss cheese :( So, probably a veggie and some cooked apples to go with.

Can I have your poppy seed chicken recipe, baurbaby ? I used to have a good one but lost it. I tried a new one this week and didn't like it.

What IS spaetzle??

I do too, believe me!!  I don't mind cooking at all, but I HATE trying to figure out something to make!

You want to know what question bothers me even more though?  Every night as we dish up supper, my SO will ask me "So, what do you call this?"  I don't know WHY it drives me crazy, but I just want to club him...

Meatloaf and green beans! :D my favorite! I love doing this because it takes so long to cook I can have basically all of the dishes done and the kitchen semi cleaned so I can lay out like a beached whale once we're finished :D And I get to start legging my boys up today!! YAAAY so that will be perfect!

Tonight I made chicken spaghetti with sweet peppers, onion, garlic, mushrooms, olives, canned garlic tomatoes, and chicken cooked in an olive oil/red wine vinegar/wine base with basil and oregano and sprinkled with feta and Parmesan cheese.  Good Lord, it was good.  I didn't follow a recipe, just threw in a bunch of stuff that sounded good.  In fact, I accidentally opened the wrong side of the dried garlic and dumped a whole pile of it in the pan, but it turned out good anyway.

How do you make your Spaetzle?

I just make fried cheese noodles and call it spaetzle :) My German grandmother taught me, she probably knew I could never manage the real thing. I cook fettuccine, then sauté it in butter with onion. I add Swiss cheese and let it melt and brown some. I'd die for my grandmas real spaetzle, but this was always my second favorite :)
Also, I promise we're not morbidly obese. I can see how some would assume so based on his menu! Lol!
