Just curious, how big are everyone's yearlings, specifically May-June babies? I have a late baby from last year that looks healthy, plays and runs with all of the others, just isn't quite as tall as I thought she would be
(based on her dam's previous colts
). We have another filly that is 2 weeks older, same sire, and just towers over my little girl, and they are on the same feed program. Growing these little ones up is always the hardest part for me!

I've heard that Zan's redheaded yearling is at 14 hands, BIG leggy colt there, and Jax is over 13 hands but not to 14 hands yet, prob at the 13.2 mark. For all that Zan certainly didn't mature fast at all, his foals are all a big bunch.

My June 4, 2012 colt is just under 14h. Dam is 14h technically but her hip is 14.3. His sire is 16h. I'm not too worried yet. He grows in spurts so i expect him to hit another spurt here soon. Seems like everytime he looses the hay belly look he shoots up and then the belly comes back. lol.

I'm usually not this paranoid about my colts growth, but her dam is my favorite mare, and I've always had a shine for this baby because of that. Also, her daddy is Chasin Firewater and the babies I've seen of his aren't real big horses, but since this girls momma is a 16h TB, I figured she'd be the biggest of the bunch!
