My son and his wife will be traveling up I35 from Ardmore to Edmond in a few hours. Does anyone have info on road conditions.

Call the highway patrol office along their route. I'm sure they will have the best / current information.

I called them to find about roads in my area and south
(thinking about going to American
) and they said slick and hazardous. The roads were fine in my immediate area at the time so don't know whether to believe them. Just as my son left to head north to edmond it started snowing here-we hadn't had any precip since early am with little icing. Fortunately it didn't snow very long, but i think the farther north they go the worse it's gonna get.

Bands of freezing rain, sleet and snow from tx/ok border north thru Ok City .... with lots of thunder ...
Going south is rain once you get into texas ... just keep moving fast the cold front is moving south too .... lol ....

I'm an hour south of OKC. It sleeted for 5 hours, along with thunder. Slick and hazardous. Heard dallas is in the same condition.

According to this website everything north of Central Texas has issues with sleeth/ice. Don't know about Ok, but don't think its much better up there.

I've been watching the American so didn't have a chance to get back on here. They made it safely-said it took him about thirty minutes longer than usual to make the trip so roads weren't real bad. He does have four wheel drive.
