Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | If you find yourself PMSing at the time your mammogram is scheduled, do yourself a favor and re-schedule it. OMG. My mom had cancer at a young age, so this was my 4th one, not like I was a newbie. The others were a breeze. Hold my breath, you say, Boobie Torture Specialist Lady? What breath? It felt like someone set my chest on fire and then tried to thread my lady lumps through the eye of a needle. She was stretching and pulling on those suckers and that **** machine has no mercy when it squeezes you to the thickness of a piece of cardboard. They're lucky I'm not like Carrie in that Stephen King book. Because I really wanted to be her there for a few seconds. |

Location: NW Arkansas | My breast tissue is dense so I always get the #@$* squeezed out of mine-- and sometimes it's repeatedly because they don't like the pic they get. I've been getting mammagrams since I was 30. Why don't they just drive a tractor over my boob! And what about those cold hands-- jeez you know you're touching boobs all day, warm those suckers up! |

| I ALWAYS make sure it is the "right time" when I schedule an appointment! It's bad enough when they aren't sore! |

Some places might be technologically advanced like that, but not St Vincent breast center in Little Rock Arkansas, which is the only place my insurance will cover. My risk assessment is actually high enough (34%) to qualify for an MRI, which my doc did recommend, but insurance refuses until I have a "problem". I suppose I could fake a problem. |

Oh yes, the BTS lady kept apologizing for handling my stuff...I told her after the girls being abused by 2 babies for 26 months of my life, that part didn't bother me a bit. |

It's really not bad if you're not already sore. I promise! This was my 4th (I got my baseline at 29) and the first one that was painful. |
