 I love them!

They are smart, very smart, and usually very athletic.

They run short distances usually also.

I think you have to be careful what they are crossed on, but with that being said I LOVE mine so far.  I have a yearling by him out of my good barrel mare.  I am currently riding a 4 yr old who mother was a daughter.  And I own her.  So I've got 3 around here and as of right now, one of my favorite bloodlines.  Looks, substance and short speed!

I'm just getting to know my new mare, she's a daughter on a Toast To Dash mare. She's a very sensitive lady with an extremely long memory. If it was scary the first time, it will be forever (ie plastic anything and foam cups). She's so fast it's unreal. :)

Can you elaborate? Just curious! They are one of my favorite bloodlines, and I haven't came across a bad one yet, so just interested in your experience on crosses.

A few years ago I got a Royal Shake Em gelding in training that needed some tuning. He was hands down the most light and responsive horse I've ever rode, but he was hot and needed some bringing down. He is a new horse today and runs 1D/2D times locally with the same gal that sent him to me.

I have a Streakin Six x Royal Quick Dash stallion that I am preparing for the summer and fall futurities that I raised as a weanling. He has been easy since day one. Extremely responsive, light, level headed, and most importantly, LOVES to be caught to go out and work. It seems like he is always looking for a challenge and something else to do. He seems to have such a positive attitude and that's what I love most about him. Just the type of personality you wish you had in every horse lol.

At a jackpot a few weeks ago someone said "They don't always like to turn...." which isn't a problem I've had with mine, as you can tell from the video, he eats up barrels! I think he thinks hes part cow horse.

Thanks for the responses. I too would like to here more about the different crosses. Also, I love how sensitive they are. What caliber are people having them finish out at? Could you tell me more about turning styles and push style or free running? Thanks

I had one I sold this spring as a 3yr old. She was very friendly with people, but aggressive towards other horses. She was BOSS and that was that. Very stout, I think she will mature around 15-15.1 tops. Great bone and nice sized feet. She was super quick, hard to say how fast as I just watched her play out in pasture. She was out of a Takin ON The Cash daughter.

Been there, done that, paid a $3000 stud fee for one I had to cull........I will never look at one with RSE in their pedigree again, even if it is 20 generations back.

I will say mine is now having nice foals by stallions of a superior disposition, and I may even try one of hers someday,  but I will never seek one out.

I have had a couple that are RSE on the bottom and they seem fine to me but when I tell people the bottom side about every person I talk to that are well known trainers all hate them and wouldn't have one.  They all have reasons.  But my experience has been good. These people would not be the kind to say it publicly on a forum like this.
