What do you guys have to have for your horses while you're on the road? As far as supplements and products (pht, bot, soft rides)

Do you use more supplements while on the road, or products or both??

Too many things to list.  There's a reason my trailer weighs what it does because I bring everything but the kitchen sink.....oh wait I have one of those too.
I use the same supplements that I do at home but I use more products on the road than I do at home.  My horses very seldom where their Soft Rides here.  There's just no reason to but if I'm hauling a long distance they will or if we're stalled on concrete or they stand tied on gravel or cement they wear their boots.  Also they have all their PHT products while on the road.
I also make sure I have happy juice for myself so I'm calm, cool and collected.

Spent a week at LG Pro Classic and this is what I took. Horse and Tack, Feed, Hay, Platinum, light weight stable blanket, shavings, buckets. We made the week just fine, did fantastic in the barrel race and got home safe and sound. Oh, yeah, I took a dolly to tote stuff. I do not need a long list of stuff to get me through.

I feed the same supplements at home & on the road. As far as other stuff, my horses always travel with/in their Soft Rides and PHT magnets, and I give Joker ventipulmin the day before, day of and usually day after we run. I always make sure I have bute, electrolytes and SmartPaks' smart ship & show paste (which I've started giving Cliff a half tube of on days he runs).

At home, I try to put the PHT magnet wraps on each horse for 20-30 minutes every day that I ride, and I have PHT bell boots on Chance & Cliff 24/7. But other than that, I don't use a lot of products at home. Flair strips, Air Power, Clearex, Sore No More are all used at races but not at home.

I don't change anything as far as supplements on the road,
except i will add electrolytes to their feed a few days before & during the show.

I bag my grain by day and AM/PM feedings in Ziplock bags with the supplements in them, rather then bringing a bag of grain and every tub of supplement.
This i started doing when hauling with a friend, because it saves space, and because she would over sleep and i would get stuck feeding her horses, so i started making her do it so i didn't give her horses the wrong things...
and it came in handy for me when i ended up in the hospital one year at the NBHA colonial nationals, had a bad migraine attack and had to rely on a friend to feed my horses for me, she was very relieved that everything was bagged and labeled properly.

I just got my PHT kit, My gelding wears his bells 24/7... the mare will get the hood and her blanket and hock raps, the gelding has a blanket and quick wraps... I will try to leave them on as long as possible before and after i ride, but i am afraid to leave them on over night, in case they grow legs and walk off.

other than that, i always keep a first aid kit, bute and banamine paste.

I have all of the obvious stuff, tack, feed, etc.   Supplements stay the same.  Add ons:

-PHT blanket, hood, hock wraps, and quick wraps.  They get these occasionally at home, but for sure on the road.
-Banamine and bute
-Pull type garden wagon to haul everything back and forth from the trailer to the barn. I WILL NOT leave my tack at the stall at a big race.  The only thing that stays at the stall usually is Hay, and sometimes, not even that if there isn't much room in the aisle.

I feed the same as I do at home, and I don't feed a lot of supplements. But here's my list:
-Horse (very important)
-Tack
-stable stuff i.e: muck tote, poop fork, etc.
-Feed and hay
-air power supplement
-blankets or sheets (depending on the time of year)
-apple juice (to put in water so they drink it when we are away from home)

I don't have any air ride boots, or PHT blankets to throw in there. Not that I don't want them, but I just don't have them yet.

If I am just going to a jackpot for the day, I have all my tack and a ton of bits in the trailer, a bale of hay, all our buckets and feed pans we always keep with us, water hose, hardware stuff. Any BOT or PHT stuff that the horses are wearing, but I don't bring it for one day stuff if they aren't already wearing it. I have a first aid kit in the trailer at all times.

Weekend races I bring all my PHT and BOT stuff, liniments, etc..

feed and supplements stay the same. fly masks, hose nozzles, ice tight, my rolling saddle rack that converts to a dolly (because I'm lazy and hate exerting myself)

I always take the same to where ever I go. Sometimes I don't get to use it, but I take it just in case.

Sore No More Poultice.
Back on track quick wraps, blanket.
PHT Blanket if it's hot.
My tack.
Sheet/Blanket depending on the year.
Magic Cushion.
Feed - Prepackaged with supplements.
First aid kit.

Other items are brought if a situation arises.
