Has anyone used the Horseguard brand BiPolar Fence Tape?  Its supposed to be better than traditional tape fence.

HORSEGUARD
MONO-POLAR (traditional) FENCE
  HORSEGUARD
BI-POLAR FENCE
HorseGuard conventional fence is available in Brown, Green or White. It needs good grounding.
The 10 big wires must be connected together at each stainless buckle in order to operate with the same voltage.
HorseGuard Bi-Polar fence is Green and Brown, it needs no grounding.
The permanent contact of the big five wires at each edge of the Bi-Polar tape avoid arcing and cuts.

And thanks but no, I don't want to use the rope or the braid.

We've got all mares and just one gelding so of course the animals in it are practically bi-polar.
Thought I'd get a fence to match.

Yes, it is great and if they get tangled it breaks away easily. It doesn't need a ground because they ground themselves when they lean on it, so it works on non grounding ground... If that makes sense:) ground that is very dry or frozen/snow covered doesn't ground very well or not at all.

When I used to board ,that was all they used. It was awesome! When I bought my gelding, first thing he did was run right through it. He didn't have a scratch on him and the fence was so easy to fix .
I now have my horses at the house and although I have another kind of fencing on my permanent pastures, I use the 2 inch tape from TSC on  my temporary pastures and use the horseguard insulators. The insulators are a rubber material instead of a hard plastic. They hold up WAY LONGER than other insulators. Can't say enough about the insulators. Horseguard is a great company hands down. And their brown tape fencing looks great around pastures.
