The foal is due in like a week or so, and I have no idea what I want to call it. I've gotten plenty of suggestions on registered names. I just want to hear some of the names of y'alls horses or names that you have heard!

I find names like Viper and Velocity to be so cool for a barrel horse, but for the life of me I cannot think of one for this foal. And no I don't know it's gender so just throw out all kinds of names!

I would have to know the horse's personality some before I could give him/her a barn name.  I like to see quirks and I like uncommon barn names.

Some barn names come before foal, most come after foaling and during the first few weeks or months after spending some time with the little one.  Something they will do, or something you just start calling them by accident will stick.  I've had a Ladybug not from pedigree, but because the filly was covered with ladybugs one day and ended up running, bucking, snorting and twisting either playing or trying to get rid of them.  That particular incident actually gave my farm it's slogan:  BTSF (buck and twist and snort and fart!) LOL!.  I've had a Mooey, because that mare milked like a cow and that name came when she was 8 or so.  I have a Peon, which one of the bb's gave me, Bebe, because the filly was so cute and so delicate, an Imp because he was from hour 1, a Boy, because the hubb wanted HIS nickname to go away.  Be patient and a good one will come to you!  And don't forget - pics!!!

I'll definitely be posting pictures! I am too excited to meet him (hopefully) but I just bothers me that I have no idea what I'm going to call it yet!! I know something will come to me and it'll just 'fit' when I meet it (:
