With God all things are possible

| How do your respond when you are doing your best to live for the Lord, yet it seems everything is going against you? You have examined your life, your heart, and your motives and see nothing that would cause this to happen, but it is! Like psalmist, do you call out to God and tell Him that you haven't sinned against His commands and that you haven't been acting deceitfully but have been walking in obedience? Do you remind God and yourself that you are aware He would know if you were focused on something besides serving Him?
In the midst of his questioning , the psalmist in v 22 acknowledges that suffering is a part of serving God. But why? Sometimes people say " We will never know until we get to heaven." I'm not sure we will care in heaven! But back to the "now"
As I am reading this devotional, I am thinking about a grieving friend, friends with cancer . I am praying for them. Why" we cry, I don't know. But the Word of God is clear. Paul reminds us in Romans 8:36 that God still loves us and there is nothing that can separate us from His love! Psalm 44:13-26 A plea to the Shepherd.
You make us a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and a derision to those all around us. You make us a byword among the nations a shaking of the head among the peoples. My dishonor is continually before me, because of the voice of him who reproaches and reviles, because of the enemy and the avenger. All this come upon us; but we have not forgotten You, nor have we dealt falsely with Your covenant. Our heart has not turned back, nor have our steps departed from You way; but you have severely broken us in the place of jackals, and covered us with the shadow of death. If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a foreign god, would not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart. Yet for Your sake we are killed all day long' we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. AWAKE! Why do You sleep O LORD? ARISE! Do not cast us off forever. Why do You hide Your face, and forget our affliction and our oppression? For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our body clings to the ground. Arise for our help. and redeem us for Your mercies' sake.
I'm learning as I grow older, my purpose, and perspective change for life. purpose will always be serving and sharing the Word of God. my perspective is not so much as getting ahead, but being more of the best of what I can be at whatever is given to me. its been a loooooong past three years, getting horses sound, colts started, I'm at the point in life now, I want to not keep starting over with colts, I want to keep what I have, and start enjoying more with a seasoned horse. riding colts can be so frustrating, but yet rewarding. turning 60 yr old last year, I'm ready to slow down, not take a trailer load to barrel race. THANK YOU JESUS for the ability to still ride, work, and share Your Word.

Location: siberia it seems | Thank you so much for this post. I too have struggled with keeping my good horses sound and am always working on the next colt, right now I have nothing finished to run. But, i am thankful for these colts because they are some of the nicest I have ever owned. I know there is a grander plan and I need to keep believing and looking to him. Your post is reassurance to me that we all struggle, but not to get down. Like you said, i can at least ride, am healthy, have a great family and I know greater things await. Amen | |
