Location: Up and over to the right | So I'm buying a 'new to me' gooseneck trailer (my first) with a decent sized dressing room. It is currently carpeted and I am interested in putting some new flooring down.
I've seen laminated wood and vinyl for flooring options but wondered what other people use.
After reading a few sites it looks like I pull the carpet up, install some kind of particle board then a layer of insulation then the flooring. Does this seem correct? |

As far as flooding products a lot of RV'ers use TrafficMaster's Allure, its a vinyl snap and lock type like a laminate, but its thinner and its still a floating floor, best part is its 100% waterproof. I actually had my hubby install some in out bathrooms. If you google "rv allure flooring" youll see good reviews on it, I would so use it in our camper or horse trailer.

This is not my camper, but I love that they painted the kitchen and fridge!!

Lots of styles to pick from, we got ours at home depot.

| I like to put down 5/4 pressure treated deck boards 16" on centers, then adventech on that. I put my floor on the adventech. If any horse urine were to run in from the back, it will go under your floor good floor. Both are almost a lifetime product. |

Location: Northern CA | Mine has the rubber mats, just like the back of the trailer. I love it! Easy to clean, etc. |

| Instead of all that work .... just put in outdoor carpeting and change it out when you get bored with the color ... ... ... if you want a layer of insulation for cold weather ... look in car parts for engine compartment insulation ... it is thin and very affective and cheap ....
Just buy you one of the little car type vacuum cleaners to keep it clean ...
