Some of you may remember that one of my horse had back surgery in Sept. he has been back running since mid feb or so. He ha some issues when he first came back as far as anticipating pain so i switched him to the left. He has been consistantly making progress and tonight he was in the bottom of the 1D. He was a 1D/2D horse prior to his surgery and i was really scared he would not make it back.... But tonight he put my fears to rest. He has steadily been climbing the Ds since i switched him to the left. The only thing i am seeing is that he is not always taking off in the left lead since i ran him to the right for so many years
( he is switching leads for the turn a out 2 strides from barrel
) I feel confident that he will get it soon and that will make it smoother and cut a few more tenths of his time. I am just so excited and thank God and Dr Honnas for returning my big boy to running pain free!

I'm assuming he had kissing spine? Where on his spine was it located?
Thanks!

Thanks girl! I am so happy that he is coming back strong. He ran 5/10 off of Kelsey Crawford and Big Al last night at groesbeck. He is getting more confident and back to his old self with each run.
Ms Sweetness is still a work in progress lol. We slowed back down and she is doing better. She tends to get really nervous at jackpots so we are trying a magnesium suppliment to see if i well help her focus more. Some days i think she just doesnt like me and does stuff to try my patience lol.

Yes, he had kissing spine. I cant remeber the exact vertebrae but he had 6 areas that were rubbing. Dr Honnas did his surgery in Sept. He felt a little tight after the surgery but has since been bendin and flexing the way he should.
