| Can I ask how the cold chain is maintained? Do they come with a temperature high and low dots?
I don't trust the postal system, a friend had chocolate mailed to her and when she received it it was melted, this tells me that the postal service doesn't have adequate temperature controls to ship vaccines. |

Location: where ever my L/Q trl is parked | Heartland Vet Supply - I found them to be the cheapest for what I buy, fast and courteous, for vaccines they use FedEx.

Location: DUMPING CATS AND PIGS IN TEXAS :) | Horsewarehouse.com doesn't have temperature dots, but they ship in a cooled container and I have never received one that wasn't still cool. They, also, ship out promptly and for a good price.
I have had trouble with Alivet and immunizations and won't use them again. They shipped me immunizations without a cooling container and said that I didn't specifically request the container and ice packs....which should be a standard. The immuniztions sat on my porch steps in Louisiana heat all day and they would not refund or replace. I don't have to request cooling packs and container from horsewarehouse, they automatically send them cooled lol. |

But could the vaccine freeze? |

The way they wrap them does not lead me to believe that they would freeze. |

This is my thoughts too. When you order the vaccines it's usually cheaper than buying locally but by the time you pay Fed Ex IMO you're not saving anything. I also don't trust Fed Ex. If they say overnight shipping it'll be 2 days later and if its 2 day shipping its at least 3. If it falls on a weekend your screwed. |

Location: Pacific Northwest | I think my dad orders everything for the cows and horses from Valley Vet and we've never had a problem...and we vaccinate a lot of cows so I know we order a lot. |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | I won't risk online orders anymore. I ordered vaccine from Valley Vet and it got caught up in a storm back east. When it arrived the vaccine was room temp. They told me it was fine, it wouldn't hurt a thing but offered a refund so I took the refund. Just not worth it. And after the fiasco I am dealing with now with doing everything right, it really SCARES me |
