If I read the stats right, I think he is the leading money earner going into the Derby. $700K +
Wish our QH's could earn that kind of money before running in a BIG race lol. I love watching the Derby, my grandpa and I used to bet (pocket change) on them starting when I was about 5yrs old. I started out by picking the coolest names or the prettiest ones. Sometimes it paid off...sometimes not lol |

| Bahhhh! I've been so bad this year...not following the Derby hopefuls. That one good looking horse!
I can't wait, but I better study up!

Location: Montana | I really like California Chrome for the Derby. He seems to have really come into his own this year. My only question is the switch from synthetic to a dirt track...not all horses can make the switch successfully...let's hope that he can! |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | I need to do some pedigree look up. I love to see how they are all bred. Anyone want to start a new thread with Derby pedigrees like they do for the NFR horses? |

I'd like to, but I love the follow the Derby and have pretty much every year since about 2006. So, I kind of try to stay up on TB bloodlines besides QH bloodlines. But, I'm not completely sure about how the NFR bloodline posts worked as I'm not sure I followed them very well...but always glad to learn! |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | most go to allbreedpedigree.com and look up the horse's name (may have to enter them if not already in the database-super easy though) and then copy those links to a post here. Like this one http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/california+chrome |

Location: Montana | Okey dokey then! My early favorite before California Chrome was Samraat. I like him, but I don't think he can handle the speed or the distance. http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/samraat |

I went by the prettiest silks when I was little or the horse with the prettiest color lol. Once when I was little my mom took me to the track and I picked out all the horses she bet on, I didn't do too shabby either lol. |
