Location: MD | vinegar. I'm very fair skinned and burn easily. you'll smell bad but it helps a lot and is so worth it. and take care of your skin woman! you can get the fancy coppertone sport spray that's quick and easy to apply and it works!! but all sunscreen requires you reapply every few hours. the sun is a dangerous thing!
PS refrain from using lotion until that burning pain feeling is gone. lotion will trap the burn. hence why the aloe vera stuff is always in a gel!

It was a fab day of working horses and cloudy and warm and ... well I obviously didn't pay enough attention to my skin that was redding up nicely! Cheers to good days of working horses! 
Oh yikes I forgot there are lots of folks out there allergic to lidocaine!! Yeah, that wouldn't be a good thing! My burn is already better today and it will be tan tomorrow. I don't need to get too much sun as skin cancer is a big concern with my Irish heritage but the problem is that I can't find a GREAT sunscreen that doesn't feel super sticky in our East Texas humidity. Anyone have any ideas?? |

| The best thing i've found is Cerave Cream. Its in a big jar, found at most drugstores, and walmart, target etc Its super thick, soaks right in. after one or two applications, you barely know you got sunburned!

So when it's new and not ancient ... I LOVE the coppertone sport spray stuff - make sure it is the stuff made for when you sweat! It really works well and I don't have a big problem with it getting sticky in north central KS. |

I am usually really good about taking care of my skin and was relying on my sun block that apparently went bad and old. :)
I tried the vinegar today and WOW! It works really well! |

I am the queen of sunburns. This is what I use except I put mine in the refrigerator. Soak in a tub of water or shower in water as cold as you can stand it. If you can get a aloe plant, fresh aloe will work wonders. Remember to use a very good lotion after a few days to keep from peeling. |

Don't know where hers was but you can get on in Alabama. Went swimming today. Suppose to be 90 degrees tomorrow. |

| Noxema!!! Best thing ever! Sunburnt my legs so bad one day at the beach that I literally couldn't move, swelled up and everything, anyway, a friend of mine is an ER doctor and told me to slap some noxema on it, don't rub it in let it absorb. Unbelievable how well it worked! |
