1/4 cup conditioner
( any kind
)
1/4 cup baby oil
1/4 cup water
1 tbs vingar

)
I use a moisturizing conditioner to help the hair grow. I have been using this 3 days a week for 3 weeks and both the horses I'm using it on their hair has grown!!

1 part mouthwash
1 part baby oil
1 part conditioner
3 parts water.
It is SUPER cheap if you buy the stuff at the dollar store.
(These are actually the ONLY things I have ever bought at the dollar store!

I've used this one that SKM posted. It really works!!!!!
Detangler
(close enough to the actual mix, lol
):
1 pint Alcohol
3/4 cup baby oil
3 oz Alpha Keri
(blue bath oil
)
Mix all igrediants in spray bottle. Shake as you use. Start at the bottem and work your way up.
This takes out mats in the mane and tail better than any OTC product out there.
After you use it, you can then wash and condition since it does have alcohol in it.

I mixed my hair conditioner half and half with water. I washed the tail first and then I worked this into the biggest knot I've ever tried to untangle. It worked great and I got a huge knot out of my gelding's tail. He had picked up a piece if baling wire. We had to cut the wire and pull it out with pliars before I could start on knot. I have used WD40 but I don't like the smell or the way it feels. It does work though.

silicone spray, use it sparingly as it will dry out the hair but, quick and painless.
