Subject: Vet visit...what to ask/take note of?

My gelding has an appointment tomorrow with the vet, I have done my research and tried to choose the best vet to go to with our situation, and to cut my cost down by not going to local vets first knowing I would probably need to go to a more specialized Dr. So the couple hours drive will be worth it, I pray!

He has been having some, I guess you could call them lameness issues, although he doesn't seem to be exactly lame and our local vet actually did a lameness exam on him not too long ago and seen nothing. He has been declining in the arena for the past year or so, and recently we noticed him short stepping in his rear. He just looks 'off' in the rear. Had him chiro'ed with no change. He also had his hocks done, no change. He does however have a tilted pelvis. So, we tried to find the best Dr. for a full lameness exam and whatever else she might suggest, x-ray, etc.

My question is, what are some things I need to keep in mind/some questions to ask? I just want to make sure that I get the most out of this visit that I can.

Thanks!!
