Hummm,,,, if its been maintained and its running rough then I would past on it.

^^^THIS........and take it to a diesel mechanic....they should be able to tell you what the truck is worth in your area. The "Red Flag" for me is that it "runs rough" but was supposedly maintained.....if it is such a minor fix, why hasn't the seller gotten it repaired? You can check the "price" for that type of truck on Kelly Blue Book from private seller. I ran a 350 and it came back to $5500 if it was in fair condition.

eta: PLUS the truck is 17 years old.....you could have a LOT of maintenance issues on other items (brakes, clutch, shocks, struts, etc, etc, etc)
