.... I decided to just drive my mare back and forth to my vets to be checked to get ready to breed. I have been there every other day for over a week, diesel is not cheep but everytime we go its a trailer load, teeth branding ext everything thats not important ive been putting off because its not urgent lol.

Every horse I own has got to go to the vet :-D so this thursday it will just be sponner finally. Yap really saved my self tons and tons of money.

Next year shes getting dropped off and they can call when shes been knocked up lol It s too much woundering if today's the day, sure wish there was a stick she could pee on that lit up a smilie face when shes "good to go" ;-)
I sure hope thursday is the day!! Im so stinkin' excited about this foal!

If you have a really good repro vet they can give you a pretty good day. First time I bred my broodmare, we just hauled her in like you to save money. She wasn't quite ready yet. He said bring her back in four days. We called brought her in. Worked like a charm.

Please excuse me for laughing.  I did exactly what you did only I was a bigger glutton for punishment because I did it with 5 mares.  This was years back so it has been long enough I can laugh about it now, FINALLY.  We all learn life lessons different ways.  My lesson was one I won't forget.
Congratulations though this is going to be an awesome baby with awesome breeding.

Its ok you can laugh it is rather funny lol.

This mare never outwardly shows heat, ive owned her for 3 years and have never noticed her in heat ever. And we have learned she takes longer than the average mare to grow an eggie ready to ovulate. Hopefuly friday she will be good and ready!
My one other mare is in hot heat today and the other was in heat a few days ago, lol.

Thank you all for the compliments, im over the moon excited for this cross, I love watching rey on a cow he is really cool and classy.

Too funny!  I'm reeling over my vet bill for the same reason.  My first time to ship instead of taking mare to the stud.  Every time I took her, two or three times a week, I put somebody else in there.  Coggins, teeth, feet, etc.  Good grief!  Yesterday, I just carried two mares up to the studs to save money.
