Are you talking about ear plaque?  White stuff/bumps?  I've heard putting ivermectin wormer on it works but haven't tried it

Mix a little iodine in tri care ointment and rub it in their ears. The iodine will kill the fungus and the tricare ointment soothes the ears.  I had a mare who was prone to getting this and it worked in a couple days.  She would be hard to bridle when she had it and in a couple of days, it didn't bother her to have a bridle put on.

Depends on what kind of fungus it is. If it's the painful white plaque, it's a huge hassle! I've never heard of the wormer but If it works it's cheaper than what I had to do! All the research I did on it told me that you can't get rid of it but a friend told me to try something else. It's called Imiquad and it's a human medication for warts and such. My vet had not even heard of it but once you google the name and the plaque, info comes up. It's a pain in the butt and takes forever but it's pretty much the only thing that will get rid of it for good.

I don't know much about treating just a normal fungus though! Of course my horses like to go big or go home lol!

Will Betadine work the same as Iodine? My colt has pretty bad ear plaque... and is it a fungus or what organism is it actually? If it is a fungus, I wonder if something like monostat would work?

Plague is not caused by a fungus. It is caused by a virus like the one that causes warts.

What does it look like? Picture anyone?
My horse has started shaking his head when he takes off and I noticed white bumpy looking scales in his right ear.

Panalog ointment is also a great remedy.  You can get it from your vet.
