Location: Middle Tennessee | I've done a lot of research on Renew Gold, but I'm still fairly confused. - Do you feed it once or twice a day? I currently feed my normal feed twice a day.
- Can you feed it and hay alone or do you add it to your current feed?
- Is there a guaranteed analysis on it?
Anyother info/ input would be greatly appreciated! |

| Can be used as supp or main feed. Can be fed with alfalfa or hay.
Personally, I feed it as my main feed twice a day adding vit/min supp. My horses get Bermuda hay accept my running mare that also gets alfalfa. Mine all have done wonderful on it.
From what I remember of the analysis, it's 15/15, no vits or mins. Just basic fat, fiber and protein. You have to add a vit/min to it.
3 of my 4 are on 1lb a day. The running mare that is a hard keeper is on 2lbs a day but honestly needs to be backed off, she's chunky lol. |

Location: South Central Florida | I feed it as a suppliment....I feed half# in the morning with Alfalfa and their other feed in the afternoon. Every feeding for me gets flax seeds AE and FORCO...I'm out of FORCO, but that's my normal feed program.
I'm not a feed jumper....when I get a feed I'm good with, I stay with it for years. The last feed mine were on was Woody's Summer Heat. I LOVED it, but dealer stopped carrying it and I can't drive 200 miles.
So this is what I've settled on and so far it's working well. Everything is fat and happy. Have a 25 year old gelding that has always been waddeling fat. Last year he started losing weight suddenly and lost probably 200 lbs in 8 weeks. Nothing we could find wrong...9 months later, added Renew Gold and FORCO and he is almost back to his old self. I thought for sure I was losing him. I like the Renew Gold |
