What was the reason you did a treatment(s) for your mare, if you dont mind me asking? |

She had some soreness going into a couple of big races. I don't use Bute due to GI upset. The soreness was much relieved at several of the three day races. The first day she would just perform the next two days post a treatment she could let it out. I've seriously thought about purchasing my own. I however, only have a few horses going. If I was hauling seriously I would own one. |

| One of my good friends in FL had one which she used on her own horses and client horses for 4 years. It is amazing to get the soreness out of one and you can visibly see it working. She used it on my back and legs and it felt like I had just received a deep tissue massage after. But it never improved performance just helped with soreness which is what it should do. Also, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and quit using the machine because of the warning that it helps the growth of cancer cells.
I loved it but if I had a grey horse or a horse that might be prone to cancer causing cells I would not use the machine. I am NOT saying it caused her breast cancer but she didn't want to use it anymore after being diagnosed because of the fear it would help the cancer cells grow that were already there.

Location: Kansas | How about the Magna Wave?
The P-3 therapy can only be provided through a vet, at least that is what their website says about purchasing the equipment.
The Magna Wave offers a 3 month rental, three months seems like a pretty good trial period to use everday without haveing to drive to the vet for a treatment and to see if there are any results? |

| The only difference is the P3 does not have an intensity control. YOU WANT THAT. Definitely go with the Magnawave! I have one. LOVE IT. |

Location: Where I am happiest | I have a magnetic pulse machine, also known by some as the P3. I have used it for many different maladies and had excellant results. Everything from just general body soreness, to torn muscles, tendons, ligaments, and soft tissue injuries deep in the foot.
As far as the poster above talking about her friend with cancer, your friend should contact Gary Wade. He is the medical physicist who designed and created the magnetic pulse machine ( P-3). He can fully explain the machine to her and I know, he has documented research showing the magnetic pulse machine is actually very benificial in the reduction/elimination of certain types of cancer. She can also find alot of info on his website. |
