Old dog again.....

Looking for possible ways to manage him. He is at least 10 years old, thinking a Bassett hound mixed with a larger type dog. He was dribbling on the floor randomly...took him to the vet and he had a prostrate issue. Got him on antibiotics and he doesn't do that anymore. He still can't hold his bladder too long but that comes with age.
Our issue: he either pees on himself at night
(we don't find wet spots on the ground hardly though OR he is just peeing on his belly when he pees outside. I can clean his belly and a few hours later...it's yellow and wet again.
He LOVES and PREFERS to be outside most of the time so I'm thinking of maybe making him an outside dog at least during the day but that still doesn't stop him from peeing on himself.
Any suggestions? Eta: he will probably end up back at the vet here soon to find out if there is anything else going on.

Lord, I don't know. Fred isn't too old, but he does a hand stand when he pees and basically pee's in his face. It's hilarious to watch.....until he wants to give kisses......

Did you ask your vet about Prednisone?

Hmmmmm......we put condom catheter's on old men sometimes.....it basically glues around the base and empties into a bag........you might try that lol.

They do have doggie diapers. It won't stop him from doing it but it will absorb it and hopefully prevent the smell.

Are doggy diapers the same as depends? Lol I looked into the doggy diapers but they didn't have them in the size he needs so I bought depends, cut a hole for his tail and tied it with a pony tail lol he got it off.
