Location: IL | So my mom bought me a Tammy Fischer saddle for my birthday two years ago and she bought me the regular fit. I use the saddle on my OTTB mare. However, I'm starting to think that it's not fitting like it used to. It seems a little tighter than I would like along the bottom edge of the skirting, mainly in the area right behind where the rigging drops down. It's a bit tight when it's just on her back without a pad so I'm sure it's fitting even snugger WITH a pad. I use a 1/2" 5 Star Pad with this saddle. This is the first treeless saddle I have ever owned, or ridden in, so not sure how they should fit. Those of you who ride in the TF, how does yours fit?
Also, I would really like to try a wide fit on my mare prior to selling mine. Does anybody know who or what company I could contact that maybe does trials or demos?

Location: Peach State | I have the wide fit for my horses in both the tammy fisher and jackie jatzlau models both horses are very stout and seems to fit correctly with using thick Todd Sloan wool felt 1 1/2" pads. The only problem I run into it my one gelding has very high withers (appendix bred) and it's very hard to "tent" my pad cause it to be tight across the withers.

| from what i understand, they are to have that close fit on the whithers and conform to the horse.. you can look at my tammy fischer head on and see that it has completely taken the shape of my horse. I haven't had any issues with soreness from this either. i suggest talking to tammy or jackie.. They are very knowledgable and willing to help out when they can! |

Location: IL | My OTTB mare is pretty petite. When I place the saddle on her back and run my hand under it, along the bottom edge by the rigging, its not horribly tight but theres not exactly much room there either. Is that normal for the treeless? I know its said that because they have no tree, that they will move and conform to the horse but not sure if mine is doing that or if its too snug. :/ |
